Montclair, nj family seeking a full-time live-out nanny!

MONTCLAIR, NJ (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A busy, professional family in Montclair, NJ, is seeking a FULL-TIME, highly experienced LIVE-OUT NANNY to provide exceptional care for their two children, a 1.5-year-old daughter and a 3.5-year-old son. The family owns a business and has a demanding schedule, making reliability and professionalism key qualities for their ideal candidate.This long-term, live-out role requires a structured, educationally focused nanny who will prioritize learning and development while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
The schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and Thursday from 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM, totaling approximately 41 hours per week(Wednesday's. Occasional overnights, weekend support, and travel are required, including 3-4 weeks of travel to Florida annually.The family prefers a local New Jersey candidate who has a reliable vehicle and is comfortable using their own car for work-related transportation (with gas and mileage reimbursement provided).
The nanny’s responsibilities will include preschool drop-off/pick-up, attending music and gymnastics classes, planning educational activities, and providing structured learning experiences tailored to each child’s development. Light household tasks such as meal preparation, children’s laundry, tidying play areas, and running errands will also be expected.The 3.5 year old goes to preschool 3 days per week from 9am-12pm. The family has an executive personal assistant and a part-time housekeeper, so collaboration and professionalism within a household staff setting are essential.
This role requires a safe, highly experienced, and trustworthy caregiver with a strong background in early childhood education. The nanny should have at least 10 years of professional experience, be CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification), and receive an annual flu vaccination.The family values a professional relationship and dynamic, setting clear expectations for a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for their children.
The hourly rate is $40+/hr gross via payroll, based on experience. While they are not offering a set PTO schedule, the nanny will receive 3-4 weeks of PTO aligned with the family’s travel schedule. This is an incredible opportunity for a highly qualified nanny to join a warm, structured, and dynamic household.The start date is projected to be February 24, 2025.
Qualifications:
BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study
CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)
Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position
A passion for working with children
Two+ years childcare experience
Excellent work and personal references
U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)
Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus
Competent swimmer
Non-smoker
Willing to go through extensive Background Check
Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident
Willingness to show proof of immunizations
No-cell phone driving signed guarantee
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
