Our client, a large Commercial Construction subcontractor in the Insulation, Fireproofing and Flooring industry is actively looking for a Fireproofing Estimator for their division near Rocky Hill, CT. This is a salaried position that offers competitive pay, amazing benefit package, and a great atmosphere.

Objectives:

• Assist in all sales and build customer relations
• Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
• Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects including labor
• Assist in the management of the operational capabilities
• Drive performance so that each project is completed under budget and on schedule
• Perform take offs, generate proposals, and secure work.
• Develop and enforce best practices to endure operational efficiency
• Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience with estimating
• Experience with fireproofing preferred
• Ability to read, interpret and accurately take-off constructions drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other estimating software
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• College Degree preferred but not required.
