Exciting Opportunity: Dental Office Manager Position at UWS Dental, NY

UWS Dental is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Dental Office Manager. We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable leader who thrives in a collaborative "Work Family" environment and is committed to driving our practice towards excellence in patient care and productivity.

Schedule:
  • Monday 8:30 to 5:30pm
  • Tuesday 9:30 to 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday 8:30 to 5:30pm
  • Thursday 9:30 to 6:00pm
  • Friday 8:30 to 5:30 pm

Salary: $68,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience

What We're Looking For: Our ideal candidate brings a solid background in dental office management, with a passion for leadership and operational excellence. We value a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, including

Technical Proficiency:

  • Skilled in Open Dental software for practice management. (preferred)
  • Competency in Asana for task tracking, Slack for team communication, and Zoom for virtual meetings. (preferred)
  • Strong G-suite skills (Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Gmail) for efficient documentation and collaboration

Soft Skills:

  • Interpersonal: Empathy, active listening, emotional intelligence, and humility to foster a positive team and patient environment.
  • Communication: Clear verbal, non-verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Able to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

  • Teamwork: Relationship building, motivational leadership, and dependability to guide the team to success.
  • Problem Solving: The ability to research, analyze, and provide quick and effective solutions

Dental-Specific Expertise:

  • Proven success in achieving high treatment acceptance rates.
  • Knowledge of dental billing processes, insurance claims, including Union insurance, OON vs. In Network, and third-party financing.
  • Experience managing patient AR, insurance AR, and driving a productive schedule for the practice.
  • Familiarity with TC KPIs, OM KPIs, and managing key metrics like net production, patient collections, and insurance collections.
  • Clinical knowledge to ensure providers remain productive and motivated.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in a Treatment Coordinator and Office Manager role within a dental practice.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a dental office team, ensuring smooth daily operations and a productive, motivated workforce.
  • Ensure the practice consistently achieves core results, including net production and collections goals.
  • Host effective L10 meetings to drive alignment and clarity within the team.
  • Oversee and optimize provider schedules, ensuring both patient satisfaction and productivity.
  • Manage and audit AR (accounts receivable) for patients and insurance, maintaining efficient financial processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain high treatment acceptance rates, offering guidance on effective case presentation.
