In this visible position, the successful Field Service Engineer will provide phone support and travel to national and international locations to diagnose, repair, test, and troubleshoot complex machines and instrumentation. - Actively diagnose, repair, and test complex machines and instrumentation.
- Commission intricate motion systems and ensure equipment integrity.
- Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, and replace worn parts.
- Install repaired equipment and replace parts at customer sites including, industrial and military facilities.
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience repairing, diagnosing, and building complex systems and machines, as well as familiarity with troubleshooting motors, motion control devices, and amplifiers, is strongly preferred.
- Experience following wiring diagrams to diagnose system failures, utilizing oscilloscopes or multimeters
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred (comparable experience will be considered in place of an engineering degree).
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with a variety of testing and measurement instruments.
- Familiarity with motion control devices, motors, and amplifiers.
- Experience with Delta Tau and/or Parker servo motors is a plus
- Up to 50% travel - nationally and internationally
