Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing or a PTCB certification/ASHP-accredited training.
• Understanding of medication storage and pharmacy protocols.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Fills unit dose medication carts and IV admixtures.
• Assists in inpatient medication order processing.
• Delivers and stocks medications to designated patient care areas.
• Monitors inventory and restocks essential supplies.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Cleans and maintains pharmacy equipment.
