Bookkeeper - Real Estate

Robert Half is working with a small, family-owned real estate office based in Beverly Hills seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our clients team. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and supporting the financial health of their business.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, trustworthy, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
  • Manage and track property-related expenses, rent collections, and financial statements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Work closely with accountants for tax preparation and compliance
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking
  • Reconcile credit card and bank statements
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure proper financial documentation
  • Handle financial data entry and maintain bookkeeping software (QuickBooks or similar)
  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in real estate or property management
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software
  • Strong understanding of real estate accounting, lease payments, and expense tracking
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus
