POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production employees by implementing policies and recommending improvements for production needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Improve safety processes and behaviors to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Plan, schedule and execute production operations and establish priorities.
- Ensure process controls are established and adhered to for operational consistency.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts and plant sanitation.
- Review reports and resolve production and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
- Achieve stated goals for efficiency, waste, and direct costs.
- Inspect equipment to ensure operational performance and optimal utilization.
- Develop and implement standard operational and working practices.
- Manage employee performance, discipline, development and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Partner with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues and strengthen employee morale.
- Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
- Work closely with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment and systems to assure objectives of production are met.
- Establish line performance standards; measure, take corrective action and report results.
- Identify opportunities for moving the line/area forward in technological change and implement improvement strategies that will help the line/area perform more effectively.
- This position has responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
- This position has supervisory responsibilities.
- Degree preferred but not required. Desired experience in a production environment with food or beverage industry.
- Applicants must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office Suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and use of plant specific software systems.
