Evisceration Production Supervisor
OVERVIEW ::
The Production Supervisor ensures that the production of products meets or exceeds efficiency and company quality standards. In addition, the Production Supervisor ensures that facilities and processes conform to established GMP standards. This position reports to the Production Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS ::
- Providing guidance and leadership to all department personnel on shift.
- Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and downtime.
- Monitors the production process, makes periodic checks and adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures.
- Ensures equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times.
- Verifies that the production line is ready and safe for the start-up.
- Manage overall product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
- Assisting employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments.
- Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
- Champion for company-wide safety programs and initiatives.
- Provides coaching, problem-solving, and team building for the department.
REQUIREMENTS ::
- High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years supervising production staff.
- Basic computer and database application skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.
- Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ::

- Exposure to extreme temperatures with both ambient and 100% humidity.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- Must handle the weight of 8 to 10 lbs repetitively, occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling 40 to 70 lbs.
- Exposure to chemicals used in the poultry processing facility.
- Ability to work in a stationary position, on feet for the entire shift.
- Ability to work with heavy machinery for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to climb steps and to access and egress through the production environment.
