Engineer Technician III

Summary:
The U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) Enroute Care Group is looking for an Engineer Technician III to support the engineering team with development, testing, and maintenance. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform laboratory procedures, field studies, testing, research activities, and other scientific and administrative tasks in the field of engineering and disciplines specified in task orders.
- Provide engineering technician support for research, analysis, and investigations by supporting data collections and acquisition.
- Provide engineering technician support for selecting, installing, and maintaining instrumentation.
- Work closely with project teams, Principal and Associate Investigators, and management to ensure Best Practices and appropriate specifications for high quality, repeatable, reliable, and safe data acquisition.
- Manage instrumentation, equipment, and data acquisition inventories, tracking, use, operation, and maintenance.
- Assist with tool crib management: inventory, maintenance, and logs.
Qualifications:
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in an engineering environment.
- Experience working in a Test Environment.
- Experience creating reports, presentations, and papers to summarize research findings.
- Experience collecting and analyzing research data.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
