Position Description

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is crucial for supporting the project management team with various administrative and construction management tasks throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.

Location

This role operates from the Sterling, VA office daily with occastional project site visits.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Setup & Documentation:
  • Set up projects in the project management software system and maintain all relevant documentation, architectural drawings, contracts, change orders, and project closeout materials.
  • Set up projects with physical binders and maintain documentation throughout the project.
  • Manage and track project records from bidding to closeout, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Subcontractor & Client Coordination:
  • Process subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders as directed by project managers.
  • Assist in securing building permits and coordinating with municipalities.
  • Project Administration:
  • Assist with project management documents including directories, RFI’s, submittals, and meeting minutes.
  • Maintain documentation throughout the project in project binders and software system.
  • Work with the PM and distribute meeting minutes and weekly project reports.
  • Other Duties:
  • Assist with bid distribution, proposal setup, and other document processing tasks related to procuring new work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction project coordination or a related role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Team player.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and construction industry software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work from the Sterling, VA office daily
