VHB is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to join our Land Development team based in Tampa or Sarasota, FL.

VHB is on the lookout for a talented Project Manager to become a key player within our Land Development Planning and Design team in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with a production team to develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects
  • Support preparation of various land development design and permitting documents
  • Responsible for project financial performance and client relations
  • Prepare and review drawings and specifications documenting the designs
  • Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues with them
  • Supervise design team activities during Construction Administration
  • Manage work and development of junior-level staff
  • Manage small, medium, or large projects
  • Develop new project opportunities and manage proposal submissions
Skills and Abilities
  • Well-developed knowledge of civil engineering concepts and practices
  • Skilled with project and client relationship management and collaborative problem solving
  • Broad knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
  • Skills to implement the integrated services approach
  • Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations
  • Knowledge of construction materials and detailing. Detail drawings, sections, and material specifications
  • Excellent innovative design skills
  • Project research and analysis
  • Ability to adhere to office standards
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to think critically, but also having imagination
  • Ability to multitask

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience on complex projects whether through coursework or professional experience
  • Proficient in site layout, grading, utility, and stormwater management design
  • Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
