Staff Accountant

A company in Covina is looking for a well skilled Staff Accountant, . As a crucial part of our team, the Staff Accountant will be instrumental in handling various accounting tasks within our organization. The Staff Accountant must have a good understanding of GAAP, Accrual and expense analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews and audits of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP Accounting principles.
• Follow up on balance sheets, ensuring all information is updated and accurate.
• Oversee the completion of month-end close processes, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Analyze income statements to understand the financial impact on the company and make necessary recommendations.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up to date.
• Perform Bank Reconciliations to verify the company's records match the bank's records.
• Maintain and update the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and reflect the company's financial transactions.
• Prepare and post Journal Entries, ensuring they accurately reflect financial transactions.
• Apply accrual accounting principles in managing the company's financial records, including expense accruals and monthly accruals.
• Carry out general accounting tasks as required, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with established accounting principles.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP).
• Proven abilities in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Strong understanding and experience of working with General Ledger.
• Expertise in creating and managing Journal Entries.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting methods.
• Background in General Accounting practices.
• Expertise in Accrual Accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in handling Expense Accruals.
• Experience in managing Monthly Accruals.
