These outlets include a ground-floor restaurant, conference catering, pantry services, and pop-up concepts.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for a new restaurant. This is an incredible opportunity to join the team at the ground level and develop an extraordinary F&B program and make an impact on the New Jersey culinary landscape.

The Executive Chef will oversee menu development, kitchen operations, and the production of high-quality dishes, while managing a team of culinary professionals. We are looking for a visionary leader with a passion for hospitality and an eye for detail, backed by reputable fine dining experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a culinary strategy that exceeds guest's expectations
  • Oversee menu development and food service across multiple outlets.
  • Lead the kitchen team in executing high-quality food production.
  • Collaborate with clients for customized event menus.
  • Hire, train, and manage the kitchen staff.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and compliance.
  • Source and nurture supply chain in line with defined company standards.
  • Develop, train and execute menus and recipes that align with culinary standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain clear systems and standards of operations to ensure all areas of BOH are set up for success.
  • Help create and cultivate individual development plans to nurture a culture of growth and fulfillment.

Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef, preferably in a fine dining environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, seasonality, supply chain, and menu development.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, inventory, and food costs.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events.
  • English fluency and Spanish knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
