Assistant Controller

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the Financial Services industry, located in Los Angeles, California. As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team, managing regulatory reporting, and conducting month-end close activities.

• Oversee the accounting team and ensure all tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Manage the process of regulatory reporting, ensuring all reports are submitted in a timely manner and comply with all relevant regulations.
• Conduct month-end close activities, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and completed on time.
• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and track all financial data.
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to streamline accounting functions and improve efficiency.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data and identify any discrepancies.
• Oversee the budget process, ensuring all budgets are accurate and align with financial goals.
• Generate regular financial reports to provide insight into the company's financial status.
• Ensure all financial reporting complies with established regulations and guidelines.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions
• Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid background in Auditing
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Experience in Financial Reporting
• Familiarity with Regulatory Reporting
• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures
