IDC is seeking an innovative Senior Research Analyst to join its Artificial Intelligence (AI) market research and advisory group. The Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for leading one of the workstreams of IDC's worldwide Computer Vision AI Software market research service.Artificial Intelligence is a major market research initiative for IDC and customer interest in this exciting subject area has created an opportunity to add a senior member to the team.
This is a highly visible position that requires the candidate to develop cutting-edge qualitative and quantitative research for IDC's exceptionally diverse base of clients. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have prior experience or knowledge in one or more technology areas critical to artificial intelligence software including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, speech/voice analytics, natural language processing, AI development frameworks and tools.The candidate must demonstrate thought leadership in this space and be able to communicate the importance of new ideas and trends to clients' senior management. Publish and present innovative, insightful, and actionable research: this includes writing well-researched and concise reports, generating forecasts, and presenting findings to vendors.
- Participate in survey design and analysis: working in cooperation with IDC's primary researchers to develop, execute and publish relevant enterprise survey data.
- Participate in consulting and custom research.
- Present at client and industry events.
- Help with marketing activities to raise visibility of IDC with regards to Artificial Intelligence in general and Artificial Intelligence Software in particular.
- Support sales by conducting business development.
- Act effectively as a client advisor to both technology suppliers and technology buyers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3+ years of previous market research experience or in a related industry
- Ability to provide actionable advice to executive-level management in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to advise clients both strategically and tactically
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong collaboration skills
- A passion for working in an entrepreneurial environment
- Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Location can be in Needham,MA or approved US location

The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $75,000 and $80,000 USD and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
