Senior Cost Accountant

The position involves processing customer applications and maintaining accurate customer records, while also resolving customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts.

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate customer credit records
• Apply knowledge of Cost Accounting to monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action
• Use Microsoft Office Suites to effectively manage and present data
• Understand and apply principles of Manufacturing in the context of cost accounting
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Ensure all customer records are updated and maintained in a timely manner
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of business
• Analyze financial information to assist in decision-making processes
• Continually strive to improve processes and procedures within the accounting department. • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in Cost Accounting within a Wholesale Distribution context
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and their impact on costing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred
• Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
