Senior Software Development Engineer, Amazon FSx for OpenZFS
We're hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the Amazon FSx for OpenZFS team. Our business is growing rapidly, and we're looking for senior engineers who will own building new and exciting capabilities on our service.
As a Senior SDE, you'll have end-to-end engineering ownership over one of more components of our service. SDEs dive deep into our technology, work with product managers and business partners to define, build, launch and grow new products and services, and work directly with our customers to understand their needs and ensure their success.Senior SDEs help mentor junior engineers and drive the culture within the team.
Amazon FSx is built in Boston, MA. The service provides fully managed, high-performance file systems in the cloud, and we serve a wide range of customers including ones running high-performance computing, AI/ML, analytics, and database workloads.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer in this office, you will design and build a service that allows customers to create cloud storage solutions that are secure, reliable, elastic, and can grow to petabyte-scale. Delivering a reliable and high-performance service at AWS scale requires engineers with extraordinary technical expertise and boundless creativity.At Amazon, engineers have the opportunity to interact with customers, to understand our business goals, and to innovate rapidly, delivering high-quality and ground-breaking functionality.- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
