Upholstery Technician - Aviation

As an aviation upholsterer, your main responsibility will be creating and installing top-quality upholstery for various types of aircraft. You'll collaborate with a team of skilled professionals to ensure every detail is perfect, from the stitching to the finishing touches.

• Removing fabric from aircraft surfaces to prepare for remodeling and recovering
• Refurbishing aircraft seating using leather and fabrics to achieve high-quality standards
• Crafting, cutting, sewing, cementing, and trimming upholstery fabrics for drapery, divans, chairs, headliners, side panels, containers, engine, and propeller covers
• Assisting in covering flight control surfaces
• Performing routing and complex sewing operations
• Documenting all work in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
• Collaborating with the team to meet established goals

• Be willing to work with experienced and junior technicians in a calm and supportive manner
• Have strong communication skills for straightforward situations
• Possess organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Be capable of maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Demonstrate excellent workmanship and a drive to initiate improvements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain an AOA badge or meet airport requirements
• Preferred 5+ years of sewing and pattern-making experience
