Republic is looking for a self-starting, rigorous individual to join the Republic Crypto Economic Advisory team as a Discovery & Research Associate. The Discovery & Research Associate will be responsible for conducting guided deep structured research on and on behalf of the client projects.Associates also regularly produce internal deliverables and contribute to creation of various kinds of client-facing deliverables, indirectly adding value to client-facing communication. The peak performance in the Associate position would entail obtaining all the skills and experience necessary for leading the entire Discovery process on selected clients.
The high points of the Research vertical are leading your own high-impact research projects and contributing to the public-facing thought leadership pieces.
What you’ll do:
- Research projects, analyze them and present findings to the Discovery Lead and the Economic Advisory team;
- Contribute to the process and deliverables creation in project-specific initiatives such as system analysis, strategy review, diagrams creation and project materials audit;
- Assist the Discovery Lead in preparing and conducting client workshops by aggregating and analyzing project’s information as well as documenting the process in a specific format;
- Support Discovery Lead in collaborating with the Economic Advisory and/or client teams on identifying relevant research aspects, formulating research hypotheses and sourcing data;
- Perform data-driven analysis into various crypto ecosystems and individual project and provide internal reports in a structured format as well as creating content based on findings;
- Maintain a high-quality standard while working in a fast-paced environment.
Our ideal candidate:
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative OSINT-like research and writing up concise summaries of your findings;
- Experience developing, facilitating, and delivering research summary presentations;
- Familiarity with business process modeling, analysis and strategy frameworks and/or willingness to upskill in a short period of time;
- Working knowledge of information management and facilitation tools like Miro, Notion, Google Suite, Figma, Machinations, etc. and/or willingness to upskill;
- Experience in Excel/Sheets, Python or SQL with manipulation of datasets and on-chain data collection and/or willingness to upskill in a short period of time;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across different genres and platforms: academic writing, social, email, etc. Familiarity with NVC and its utilization would be a plus;
- A degree/experience in Economics, Data Analysis, Design, Computer Engineering, or equivalent;
- A sharp analytical mind with a disciplined and organized approach to tasks and projects of any level of complexity;
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality analyses and reports on a short deadline;
- Adaptability, positivity, proactive attitude;
- Mental agility to balance macro strategic thinking with a bottom-up product-driven approach;
- Genuine intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn; Demonstrated ability to own tasks and lead projects, ability to roll up the sleeves and execute;

The Discovery & Research Associate position is the perfect opportunity to enter the crypto research and consultancy space and learn from one of the industry’s leading advisory teams, working at web3’s innovation frontier and have a direct impact on the direction of the token economy and strategy design for our clients.This role will allow you to gain exposure to multiple facets of the research process and consulting industry and gain a deep understanding of various relevant aspects of the crypto industry, including business processes, technology, legal, regulatory, and compliance.
A qualified candidate can expect a base salary of $75,000–95,000. A standard offer from Republic includes base compensation, equity options, and a highly competitive benefits and perks package. Offers are determined by a number of factors including (but not limited to) the applicant's experience, skills, certifications, as well as internal equity among our team.
