Desktop Support/VDI Analyst

We are offering a contract for a permanent position in the IT industry, located in Woodbridge, New Jersey, for the role of a Desktop Support/VDI Analyst. As a member of our team, you will be instrumental in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining various tech tools and products.

Responsibilities:
  • Offer technical assistance to end-users related to computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and other tech tools.
  • Ensure timely deployment and configuration of various tech tools such as laptops, desktops, VoIP phones, smartphones, tablets, and more.
  • Handle the deployment of devices using Intune Autopilot and manage the onboarding and offboarding of users in a hybrid Active Directory/Azure Active Directory environment.
  • Address and resolve Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), specifically Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) specific issues.
  • Assist with the deployment of Intune applications, policies, and patch deployments.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve escalated complex technical problems related to various products and services.
  • Contribute to the development of operational procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and promote efficiency.
  • Perform new user setups and configurations.
  • Utilize remote support tools to help resolve requests.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of incidents and requests.
  • Update IT policies and procedures, and create and maintain knowledge base articles and FAQs.
  • Support application upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects.
  • Adhere to SLAs outlined in Helpdesk SLA document.
  • Provide guidance and support to Help Desk team members.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to ensure quality and timely service delivery. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Desktop Support/VDI Analyst role or similar
  • Proficiency in Desktop Virtualization and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Capable of managing and troubleshooting Cisco VPN
  • Experience in Mobile Device Support and Mobile Device Management
  • Knowledge of Intune is a must
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting or independently when required
  • Relevant certification in IT or related field is a plus.
