Social Media Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a talented Social Media Community Specialist to actively engage with our audience across ChapStick and Suave social media channels. This is a contract position, requiring approximately 30 hours per week.

The Social Media Community Specialist will uphold the brand voice of both brands to nurture our current community and grow with new followers across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other social channels with timely responses. This role will focus efforts on meaningful and helpful engagement to include reactively and proactively addressing concerns, delivering helpful information, identifying opportunities for social engagement, and providing insights and recommendations based on community conversation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Respond and engage consumers on social platforms through comments, direct messages, and driving conversation with adherence to brand voice, content guiding principles and legal guidelines.

Dive into Social listening on Sprout and create insights reports weekly to inform content direction for social. Work to perform ongoing social listening for macro/micro trends as well as insights that can be translated into content or larger strategies.

Track and analyze community engagement metrics to identify trends, insights and opportunities for brands to participate in moments, and conversations.
Develop response and engagement strategies and tactics.
Responsible for deep listening via hashtag tracking and social search.
Monitor brand mentions within the community to provide contextual information around trends, themes and sentiment.
Contribute community management-related findings to monthly social reports, helping to identify trends.

Manage our user-generated content program. Be the primary contact with social users asking for permission to use their content and develop processes to socialize photos, videos, and testimonial comments within the marketing and communications teams.

Develop and implement a strategy for identifying and following key social media accounts, influencers, and thought leaders to enhance our brand's visibility and engagement.
Responsible for engaging with Facebook Fan Groups, regularly publishing posts and comments to drive engagement, monitor conversations, and report on outcomes.
Opportunity to contribute to the greater organic social media team in brainstorming and strategy meetings to develop content, and influencer strategies that increase engagement. Stay abreast of trending topics, news and social trends and propose social first activations.

Develop and maintain dashboards for community management results and for monitoring against specific keywords and trends.

Champion our brand voice and help craft copy for social media. Pay obsessive attention across multiple channels to be consistent with our voice and tone, ensuring we own our narrative.

Position Requirements
  1. 6 years of relevant experience in social media, communications or marketing.

Serial social media user who can show a deep understanding of key platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Experience with Sprout, or other similar Community Management tools.
Previous experience running a social channel for a brand preferred.
Strong community management copywriting abilities.

Passion for the beauty industry. Experience in the beauty industry is a plus.
