• Respond to complex and basic questions regarding IDR or determine the appropriate team member or source if not equipped to respond.
• Answers calls regarding Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) questions and transfer to appropriate team member(s).
• Record notes & participate in internal and external client meetings.
• Manages and maintains information in 2 databases.
• Ensures data in both databases reflect the same information necessary for processing.
• Understands difference between providers and health plans.
• Meets daily production goals while maintaining quality of work.
• Works under supervisors to meet organizational goals.
• Shifts workflow where needed

Experience and skills:

• Coding or medical terminology knowledge (Preferred)
• Insurance/Billing Specialist: 2 years (Preferred)
• Denials and Appeals: 2 years (Preferred)
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective at multi-tasking.
• Ability to collaborate and work closely with colleagues.
• Computer skills
• Proficiency in email communication and use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to meet fluctuating organizational goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
