JOB STATUS: Per Diem, Non-Exempt
PAY RATE: $15.49 - $18.00 per hour
YOUR ROLE INCLUDES:
Guiding Compliance: Ensure that the program follows NJ guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host schools.
Bringing the Fun: Lead exciting, hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. And dont forget about homework completion youll be the ultimate homework helper!Being a Role Model: Foster a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment where children can grow. Be the positive role model they look forward to seeing each day.
Managing Like a Pro: Support the Site Director with management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, ensuring proper staffing levels, and keeping everything running smoothly. Youll also be the person in charge when the Site Director is away.
Maintaining Communication: Keep parents and family members informed through the Playground App, ensuring transparency and engagement.Team Collaboration: Stay in close communication with the Site Director, keeping them updated on daily activities and addressing any challenges that arise. Together, well provide top-notch care, create a positive work environment, and handle any issues as a team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in Child Development, or a Child Development CertificateOR
Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, plus Nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any field related to child growth or development
QUALIFICATIONS:
You must pass a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and SEL & SCR clearance.A doctors approval to perform job duties and be free from communicable diseases (including TB) is required.
Youre warm, friendly, and upbeat. Excellent people skills come naturally to you, whether you're interacting with children, parents, or team members. Youre also professional, reliable, and punctual.
Youre physically prepared to bend, stretch, lift, and carry (up to 50 lbs.) to keep up with active kids!
