Software Development Engineer II, PubTech
Amazon Ads - Publisher Technology (PubTech) is a new and exciting program that is building supply side technology and pioneering novel experiences for our content publishers including audio (Alexa), video (Prime Video, Twitch, Freevee, FireTV), display (Amazon.com) to aid in their selling their inventory, optimize yield, and maximize monetization.
The Publisher Ad Server engineering team within PubTech is engaged in developing highly scalable ad serving mechanisms along with necessary features to serve ads. Among others, this team is responsible for Publisher Ad Event Tracking System (PAETS).As a publisher-focused ecosystem that aims to enable a slate of event-driven supply-side use cases like maintaining ad-cx control, deals pacing and reporting, PAS needs to be the authority on vended and reported events. PAETS measures performance through various types of reported events like impressions, clicks over a variety of dimensions like ad types, device type, deal etc and publishers rely on these reports as critical pieces of feedback into iterating on business goals.
PAETS also provide dedicated spaces for publishers to take control of creating, managing and acting upon events where they can iterate and experiment without friction. We are the one stop shop to serve all publisher ad serving needs within Amazon with an event management solution in order to authoritatively provide the requisite insights to publishers and become a competitive industry offering.
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who can build on our early success, pioneer new programs for customers, and help define our future. As a member of the PAETS team, you will spend your time as a hands-on engineer directly impacting ad delivery, customer experience and revenue.You will play a key role in building software products and features from the ground up to experiment and enable different ad strategies. You will use a wide range of technologies, programming languages and systems. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of software development.

This is very much Day 1 for PubTech so you would be joining an entrepreneurial and pioneering team that is building from scratch.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
