Construction Inspection Intern – Summer 2025
Overview:
ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s South Portland, ME office is looking for a Construction Inspection Intern to join the team for Summer 2025.
Responsibilities- Monitor construction to provide assurance that the project is being constructed in accordance with approved plans and specifications
- Perform quantity computations from field collected measurements and record the data for project records
- Document construction activities in daily electronic reports
- Coordinate with the Resident Engineer to address Contractors’ questions
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to grow professionally
- Ability to work well in team-oriented structure
- MS Office Suite skills
- Currently pursuing undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
- Prior civil engineering/construction inspection internship experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
