Senior Compliance Coding Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Compliance Coding Analyst to join a leading healthcare organization in the Chicago area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct compliance reviews of hospital and physician documentation, coding, and billing to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve coding and compliance issues and minimize organizational risk.
• Design and conduct chart reviews and assess the appropriateness of medical billing practices.
• Prepare accurate reports of findings with actionable recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date on government billing regulations, payer guidelines, and coding updates.
• Provide resources and education on documentation improvement for physicians and administrators.
• Monitor and maintain robust compliance initiatives through training sessions and educational materials.
• Support updates to Compliance manuals and intranet resources.

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant certification, such as CCS, CCS-P, CPC, HCCA, or AHIMA.
• 3–5 years of experience in senior-level coding auditing or a minimum of 5 years in a related coding position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hospital billing systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with physicians and healthcare leadership.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
• Credentials such as RHIA/RHIT.
• Advanced knowledge of documentation and coding compliance standards.
