We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Restaurant Server to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests.You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go the extra mile to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.
Reporting to the Outlet General Manager you will support and provide excellent service at our new high-end brunch all day concept, located on the lobby level of our iconic resort. This high-volume requires a passion for personalized service and guest engagement.The new hot spot in Fort Lauderdale will offer luxury products and service, in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, guiding them to their tables, and providing them with menus.
- Accurately taking and entering food and beverage orders into the system, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
- Delivering orders to tables promptly and ensuring that all dishes and drinks are served at the correct temperature.
- Preparing and serving drinks from the bar, including cocktails, soft drinks, and other beverages, while following all health and safety guidelines.
- Offering menu suggestions and answering questions about ingredients and preparation methods to enhance the guest dining experience.
- Processing transactions, including handling cash and credit card payments, and providing accurate change and receipts.
- Checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and addressing any issues or special requests promptly.
- Keeping tables, floors, and work areas clean and organized, and assisting with general cleaning duties as needed.
- Helping with tasks such as refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and setting up or resetting tables to support the overall efficiency of the team.
- Collaborating with other servers, bar staff, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and addressing any operational needs that arise.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service to others preferred, with a familiarity in restaurant terminology and food service techniques.
- Strong Knowledge in Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- High School Diploma/GED or some College experience or degree preferred.
- Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
- Must have a current Food Handlers card.
- Previous experience in a professional setting is preferred.
