Machine Shop Manager
Leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager to oversee their machining operations, optimize production, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Shop Operations: Plan, schedule, and oversee daily machining processes to meet production goals.Quality Assurance: Ensure all machined components meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Team Leadership: Supervise machinists, CNC operators, and technicians, providing training and performance feedback.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of machinery.
Process Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other efficiency-driven methodologies.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Budget & Cost Control: Manage shop expenses, optimize material usage, and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 5+ years in machine shop management within a steel or metal manufacturing environment.Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and manufacturing best practices.
Leadership: Strong team management, training, and conflict resolution abilities.
Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze production issues and implement effective solutions.

- Ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices.
