We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist at our location in Whittier, California. Our industry is Construction/Contractor and the selected candidate will be expected to handle various duties relating to accounts payable and customer relations.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications
• Manage, review, and process all Accounts Payables using Sage 100
• Secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolve any discrepancies
• Ensure timely and correct payments to all vendors and service providers
• Resolve invoice discrepancy matters with vendors through purchasing and direct communication
• Set up weekly and monthly reports on payables, overtime, and receivers for upper management
• Ensure vendors receive invoices and bills in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Post vendor receivers matching the purchase orders placed by the Purchasing department
• Maintain daily communication between Accounts payable and all departments and corporate entities. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Construction/Contractor industry
• Proficient in using Sage 100 for various accounting tasks
• Proven experience in account reconciliation with a keen eye for discrepancies
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank account reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Strong experience in credit card reconciliation, ensuring all transactions are accounted for
• Proficient in computer data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Solid experience in data entry related to accounts payable and other financial records
• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion with financial information.
