My client is looking for a Senior Accountant to fill their open role in their Washington, DC office. This organization is based within the non-profit industry and the opportunity will be hybrid. The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounts, reconciling various accounts, assisting with the month end close process, posting journal entries and assisting with other ad hoc projects.

Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
- Perform month-end close.
- General ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile various accounts.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Research and maintaining compliance US GAAP.
The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Understanding of US GAAP.
- Non-profit experience, preferred.
