Under the compassionate leadership of Periodontist Dr. Ranjitha Krishna and her talented team, dental patients are experiencing amazing results and discovering that periodontal care saves teeth, restores smiles, increases confidence when chewing, improves overall health, and builds sincere friendships with their dedicated dental team.
The management (non-clinical) responsibilities of this busy, popular practice are more than what one supercharged dental specialist can provide! Therefore, Dr. Krishna is eagerly in search of a talented operations manager to join the practice and assume the many tasks that run “the business side” of her dental (surgical) practice.
Beginning her dental career in India, Dr. Krishna’s journey led her to the United States where she studied at Indiana University before accepting a faculty position at the Medical College of Georgia. After becoming licensed in the USA, completing a master’s in public health, and finishing her periodontal residency, Dr.Krishna, her husband, and their two children planted roots in Marietta where Dr. Krishna took over the care of a retiring Periodontist’s patients. Now, several years after that transition, with construction of their new facility underway, Dr. Krishna is seeking a highly skilled manager to help them continue to achieve their dreams.
With too many tasks for one dental specialist to shoulder, this full-time, permanent position offers a variety of important roles that will build on our office harmony while supporting future growth. Dr. Krishna, is seeking a full-time personnel and operations manager to collaboratively work with her, attending the day-to-day office matters which include:- Overseeing and facilitating technology upgrades into the practice,
- (after training) Working with our Admin Team Lead/Treatment Coordinator to provide administrative training when on-boarding front office staff to build on our 5-star reputation for excellent patient communications and process,
- Implementation of marketing initiatives (like continuing updates to our website) and developing plans to creatively thank our awesome referring offices
- Overall, functioning as an “executive assistant” for Dr. Krishna
- Learning “the business” of dentistry to relieve Dr. Krishna from most non-clinical responsibilities of practice management
- Being the “staff leader” to organize meetings, gain staff input when decisions are made that affect their routine tasks, or have the periodic “crucial conversation” to address matters of compliance or performance
- Experience in the dental/medical industry is valuable, BUT NOT REQUIRED. We are committed to hiring the right person and eager to offer industry training to support the long-term success of our operations manager. For the first 6-8 weeks, the operations manager will immerse themselves with our administrative team to learn front office procedures. Get ready to become an expert in periodontal terminology, process, and culture. Then, we’ll couple your operations expertise with your newly learned skills to grow into your new role.
- BS or BA from accredited University in Business Management, Healthcare Management, Marketing or related field. Candidates who did not complete college will only be considered if possessing exemplary, proven business management skills.
- 5+ years of professional business management experience focused on human resource management, marketing, critical thinking, and creative problem solving within the culture of a .
- Tactful, diplomatic, empathetic communicator. This is an excellent position for an individual whose fondness for “people” drives their passion for managing and prompted their participation in outside trainings often found with SHRM, Dale Carnegie trainings, Maxwell, or L.E.T./Gordon Training. Must appreciate the strengths that diversity carries into our workplace while having skills to navigate differences.
