Responsibilities:
A Typical Day Might Include:
- May act as the design lead, programming lead, or owner’s representative on selected projects.
- May plan, organize, supervise, and review the work of a team of engineers and designers working on the same assigned project.
- Meets regularly with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
- Develop PLC architecture designs including Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
- Development of contractor installation/construction packages including riser/conduit installation drawings, device location plans/elevations and specifications.
- Develop electrical controls schematics including low-voltage power distribution, PLC I/O drawings and 480V motor 1-line & 3-line schematics.
- Perform PLC/HMI Programming (mainly RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, PanelviewPlus RSView ME, Ignition, Wonderware).
- Provide on-site electrical system construction and commissioning support including device/hardware checkout and troubleshooting of PLC/HMI programs.
- Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
- Travel usually varies from 20% to 40% and may include international travel to Latin America or Canada

Qualifications:
Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:
- Engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing required – glass, steel, or graphite industry strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of related practical experience.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of project design, cost estimating, and scheduling.
- Good computer and communication skills
- Ability to work and communicate remotely in an independent and team-oriented environment.
- Ability and desire to travel for field assignments up to 40% is required.
- Salary Range: $120,000-130,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
