Job Description
Key Responsibilities:1. Site Management and Supervision- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage all site activities to ensure smooth and efficient construction.
- Monitor Progress: Track project milestones and address delays promptly.
- Lead Crews: Supervise teams and subcontractors, ensuring they have the necessary resources.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with plans, codes, and specifications.
- Safety Management
- Enforce Safety Protocols: Lead safety programs, ensuring adherence to OSHA standards.
- Conduct Safety Meetings: Hold regular safety briefings to address site hazards.
- Monitor Conditions: Inspect the site for potential hazards and take corrective action.
- Ensure OSHA Compliance: Maintain a strong safety culture and compliance.
- Quality Control
- Enforce Standards: Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect Work: Regularly inspect progress and adjust if quality deviates.
- Address Deficiencies: Take immediate action to resolve any quality issues.
- Schedule Management
- Monitor Timelines: Ensure the project remains on schedule and resolve delays.
- Coordinate Subcontractors: Schedule labor and material deliveries to meet project needs.
- Update Management: Provide regular progress updates to project managers.
- Communication and Coordination
- Liaison with Stakeholders: Act as the main contact between the field team and project managers.
- Coordinate Subcontractors: Ensure subcontractor work aligns with the schedule and quality expectations.
- Problem Solving: Address on-site issues such as labor or material shortages.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain Logs: Record daily activities, work progress, and safety incidents.
- Provide Updates: Regularly report site conditions, delays, and changes to the team.
- Track Changes: Document scope changes, delays, and schedule adjustments.
- Cost Management
- Monitor Budget: Ensure project costs are controlled and resources are used efficiently.
- Manage Resources: Ensure timely ordering of materials and proper allocation of labor.
- Report Variances: Alert project management to any cost discrepancies.
- Final Inspections and Project Closeout
- Complete Punch List: Ensure all final tasks are completed to client satisfaction.
- Coordinate Inspections: Ensure all necessary inspections are passed and codes are met.
- Prepare for Handover: Ensure all project documentation is complete for client handover.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Construction Superintendent candidate is an experienced, hands-on leader with a strong background in managing construction projects from start to finish. They should have 5-10 years of experience in construction management, with a proven ability to lead teams, supervise subcontractors, and manage site operations efficiently.
