Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a IT Security Server Administrator, supporting the Space Division at the Kennedy Space Center, FL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Requires a bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree and one year of related experience or a high school diploma with three years of related experience
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Experience in application development, IT systems, project implementation, risk management, audit, compliance, and other IT related security fields
- Working knowledge of fundamental computer and networking technologies and the underlying protocols they are built on
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment, ability to foster strong relationships with mixed technological experience such as auditors, business professionals, and engineers
- Review Security scan reports
- Work with appropriate IT System Administrator(s) and Integrators on vulnerability mitigation
- Support IT Security audits and COTS event log analysis
- Perform and analyze security scans
- Report vulnerabilities
- Document Security procedures
- Perform security incident response
- Support yearly System Assessment & Authorization / Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements
- Provide IT Security continuous monitoring as recommended by NPR 2810.1, and associated NASA Handbooks
- Communicate requirements with appropriate System Administrator(s) System availability, network connectivity, system configuration and installation plans
- System/server troubleshooting and system event log analysis System Vulnerability assessment, integration, assignment, tracking, and closure support
- System Compliance oversight with NPR 2810.1 and IT-B/CIO compliance reporting
- System, OS, and Application updates and upgrades
- Work with appropriate IT Security & System Administrator(s) to determine exemptions when necessary
