Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The overall objective and purpose of the Server Assistant position is primarily responsible for clearing away dirty dishes, sets tables, and serves as an assistant to a Restaurant Servers. They are to provide the highest level of service in support of the mission, core values, standards, and goals established by the company.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Primary responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
- Clears and resets counters or tables at the conclusion of each course.
- Assists dining room waiters in the food and beverage service, set tables, serve guests as directed by the waiter, keep menus clean, clean table between servings, menu knowledge.
- Assists with providing tables with beverages.
- Removes solid linens and replaces them with clean linen.
- Transports dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
- Polish silver and glass as needed.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of observable behaviors and essential knowledge, skill, and abilities required of a successful incumbent.
- Experience in delivering exceptional service and hospitality.
- Display clear communication with the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Attention to detail and knowledge of proper plate presentation.
- Knowledge of all the ingredient details of every dish on the menu.
- Delivering food to guests quickly and efficiently.
- Previous experience within food and beverage a plus.
- The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.
- Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise.
- Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with professionalism & collaboration.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
- The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs on a weekly basis.
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, waiting and standing for long and short periods of time.
