Job Description
About the role:
As a member of the Business Excellence site/functional team, you will, build expertise in the AGILE Operating Elements (Takeda's Lean Six Sigma program), deliver the eAGILE program at site/function and engage all employees, build the site's capability in the eAGILE program through coaching of AGILE Champions and other colleagues across all levels of the organization and be an advocate of change at the site.You will report to the Agile Lead.
How you will contribute:
- Establish and educate the understanding in Round Lake of the eAGILE program, its workstreams, and expectations.
- Lead identification, creation, maintenance, and adherence of site eAGILE roadmap, detailing opportunities which will be implemented in the fiscal year according to the site strategy.
- Lead, coach, and help implement the eAGILE roadmap commitments, including project management, facilitation of workshops and problem-solving sessions using Lean Six Sigma principles, coaching deployments, and ensure sustainability of deployments, where applicable (e.g. regular GEMBA, process confirmation, leader standard work).
- Be the driver and champion of change using Takeda's Organizational Change Management framework, including practical application as it relates to the eAGILE roadmap deployments.
- Perform data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and to drive transformation, while collaborating with important partners and according to the site's strategy.
- Improve Takeda's Leadership Behaviors as it aligns with eAGILE program and mindsets and behaviors needed to inspire creativity, transformation, and continuous improvement culture.
- Build competencies and capabilities in influencing and coaching through collaboration with global workstreams and other coaches to apply at the site.
- Participate in site/functional workshops to identify coaching opportunities and proactive capability building at the site.
- Follow industry trends in coaching and influencing to identify new capability needs for development of self and others.
- Maximize learning and competency building of AGILE champions through assignment of AOS deployments.
- Influence important partners and collaborate on implementing the eAGILE roadmap.
- Assist AGILE Champions across OpU/Region where required, in their AGILE journey.
- Maintain the eAGILE and AOS (Takeda's Lean Six Sigma Program) roadmaps.
- Ensure data accuracy and monthly updates are documented and maintained in SPOT (project reporting tool) for eAGILE roadmap projects.
- Administer DMAIC ecosystem at the site.
- Maintenance and report goals. Maintain schedule of Lean Six Sigma deployments (e.g. CI Loop).
What you bring to Takeda:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other related technical field.
- 6+ years of related experience with 1+ years as a supervisor.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Project management experience (incl. small scale projects).
- Change management experience.
- Experience with application of statistical software and data analysis (e.g. Minitab, JMP, PowerBI, and Tableau).
- Understanding of regulated biopharmaceutical or biotech operations or other regulated industry.
Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. You may:
- In general, your work will be a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions of the facility.
- Indoor working conditions. On site position. General office environment with air conditioning and heating.
- May work around moving equipment and machinery.
- May work in confined spaces/areas.
- Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions.
- May work in a cold, wet environment.
- Will need to walk from building to building through outside "rain or shine."
- May work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Will need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- May work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
- Will work on site on multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
- Can work non-traditional work hours, including weekends.
- Requires flexibility to conduct activities to support different shifts.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.

U.S. Base Salary Range: $108,500.00 - $170,500.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained , certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
