Key Responsibilities:
Administrative and Clerical Support- Manage the attorney's calendar, including scheduling client meetings, depositions, hearings, and case-related appointments.
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and other case documents using Microsoft Office and specialized legal software.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring timely updates and easy accessibility for the attorney.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on their cases and assisting with obtaining necessary documentation or records.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and case inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
- Conduct preliminary case research, gather records, and prepare materials like case summaries, exhibits, and witness information for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and court requirements specific to workers’ compensation cases.
- Monitor case deadlines to maintain compliance and reduce risk of errors.
- Assist the attorney with navigating regulations and statutes within the workers' compensation field.
- Utilize legal practice management systems to oversee client data, track case progress, and monitor key performance metrics.
- Leverage AI and automation tools for document drafting, case tracking, and research.
