Facilities Associate Principal
What You'll Do:
- Primary responsibilities include providing technical expertise and supporting Facilities staff within the Pacific (western) region, primarily including California but also Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska.
- Responsibilities also include performing the following:
- Managing and directing projects assigned to other team members
- Performing technical report reviews within and outside your region
- Collaborating with other professionals across the company
- Preparing and reviewing proposals
- Coordination with ECS Environmental leadership for providing those services in the region
- Coordination with ECS Property Condition Assessment leadership for providing those services in the region
- Business development and assisting other staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions including client lunches, etc.
- Attendance at targeted professional events. Examples might include ULI, NAIOP, AIA, IIBEC, BOMA, IFMA, etc.
- Coordination with the Northern California (Walnut Creek) office for client development and staffing support
- Lunch and learn technical presentations to architectural and other clients
- Responsibilities may also include:
- Leading and coaching junior staff members
- Attendance at University career fairs to identify and nurture potential candidates, including follow up and initial interviews
- Junior staff as direct reports for their review and career development
- Performing responsibilities at regional level, including some regional travel
- Leadership for providing direction to the growth and development of ECS Pacific in general
- Attendance at Office Manager monthly meetings including reporting of development and progress.
What We're Looking For:
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering Architecture (NCARB), Civil (Structural) Engineering, or Architectural Engineering preferred
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Licensed or certified as at least one of the following: Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) offered RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP, University of Wisconsin‐Madison offered BECxP and CxA+BE
