Suncoast Post-Tension has ten plants, located within close proximity to our customers. Reporting to VP of Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for making informed decisions about resource allocation and the implementation of effective process improvement techniques. This is done by following best practices to maximize productivity and minimize costs, while producing goods of the highest quality and staying informed of industry trends and best practices to continuously strive to improve operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve the production process in order to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Adopt new technologies and implement lean manufacturing principles, and the development of flexible production systems that can quickly adapt to changes in demand.
  • Make informed decisions about how to allocate resources, including raw materials, labor, and equipment, in order to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Understand the production process and predict demand and adjust resources accordingly
  • Identify and potential bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure that the products being produced meet the required standards of quality and performance
  • Implement quality control procedures
  • Work closely with suppliers and other stakeholders in the supply chain to ensure that raw materials and other resources are available when they are needed, and to minimize delays and disruptions to the production process.
  • Carefully manage inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished goods are available when needed, without tying up too much capital in inventory
  • Develop a clear understanding of the production process in order to effectively manage operations in the manufacturing industry, operations managers must have a deep
  • Implement process improvement techniques and quality control procedures

  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in order to stay ahead of the competition and to continuously improve operations.
  • Attend industry conferences, reading trade publications, and network

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical field)
  • Lean certification: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt

Required background:

  • Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing operations management experience
  • Proficiency in Kaizen, Problem Solving, 5S, and other efficiency and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail; strong personal organization, collaboration and time management skills
  • Lean Manufacturing methodology knowledge and experience a plus

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience in successfully implementing quality improvement initiatives in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective coaching and teaching abilities.
  • Understanding of team dynamics and ability to maximize team effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage and coach for effective implementation of Operational
  • Excellence processes.
  • Ability to manage workload with changing priorities while achieving project deadlines
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise documentation
  • Proficiency in document management and version control tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $108,000.00 - $134,000.00 per year

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
