Overview:

The Supervisor of Commercial Cleaning is responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day operations of Wheatley Farms Commercial Cleaning. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all services meet the quality standards established by the organization and for maintaining positive customer relations and assisting in securing new customers.

The Supervisor is also responsible for training and supervision of cleaning crew personnel in the Brookville, Plainview and Freeport Campuses.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  1. Maintain flexible work hours as needed to cover all shifts and oversees coverage, when necessary.
  2. Develop, monitor, coordinate and implement daily schedules for all cleaning crews and personnel to ensure that customers receive scheduled services.
  3. Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with cleanliness standard
  4. Train all commercial cleaning staff in residential and commercial cleaning methods.
  5. Ensure that all staff are properly trained in the safe and proper use of all equipment, supplies, and materials.
  6. Ensure that staff follow all required and recommended safety precautions.
  7. Ensure that all necessary equipment, supplies, and materials are procured and serviced in a timely manner to avoid business interruption and to facilitate business growth.
  8. Ensure invoices for purchases are appropriately received, coded, and documented and processed.
  9. Oversee and ensure the accurate processing of all requests for service, quotes requested and provided, and orders received for new and existing customers.
  10. Assist in maintaining a current inventory of supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
  11. Oversee/check/approve daily record of payroll for all employees.
  12. Evaluate performance of Team Leaders, Porters, Porter Assistants, Janitors and Custodians.
  13. Assist Business Operations Manager, Catering and Commercial Cleaning, with ongoing cost analysis and the promotion and development of new accounts/client expansion.
  14. Assist Business Operations Manager, Catering and Commercial Cleaning with all contracts and proposals with the New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID), including, but not limited to, communication with NYSID representatives regarding customer service inquiries, new and existing contracts, quarterly report information, and compliance reviews.
  15. Collaborate with Business Operations Manager, Catering and Commercial Cleaning, to implement and update housekeeping policies and procedures.
  16. Performs additional duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in Commercial Cleaning required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required.
  • Experience with customer relations, payroll processing, and invoice management preferred.
  • Qualified NYS Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to work flex hours, including evenings and weekends, as applicable.

Physical aspects of this position may include but are not limited to lifting up to 35 lbs.
