Technical Writer

We are inviting applications for a Technical Writer position in San Antonio, Texas. As a Technical Writer, you will be primarily responsible for creating technical content, collaborating with technical experts, proofreading and editing technical documents, managing documents, and formatting content.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, revise, and finalize technical content for various purposes, including proposals and project methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical experts to gather detailed information needed for creating technical content.
• Work closely with graphic designers to integrate visuals into written content, improving readability and impact.
• Conduct thorough proofreading and editing of technical documents to ensure grammatical accuracy and consistency with company standards.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining a library of proposal templates, technical content, and reference materials.
• Apply company-specific formatting and style guidelines to documents, ensuring they meet professional standards before submission.
• Regularly monitor and update customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize a range of software tools including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe RoboHelp in the execution of duties. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe RoboHelp.
• Experience with AB Testing and Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with AP Style writing.
• Proven record in Auditing and understanding of Computer Hardware.
• Experience in writing Proposals - RFPs and Proposal Writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
