BLS and CNA required to apply
Assists Nursing Service personnel in the performance of a variety of duties directly and indirectly related to patient care delivery always under the direction and supervision of the professional nurse. Functions according to the policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing.Reports the results of all treatments and procedures to the nurse. #STC
Qualifications:
Education Requirements- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- High School Diploma
- OR - GED - OR
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- Pediatric hospital Experience
- BLS Certification
- PA Certified Nursing assistant license

4 North is a 30-bed medical/surgical unit providing care to children of all ages with acute and chronic medical and surgical disease processes. Common disease processes include trauma, renal disease, urological disease, liver disease, asthma, and sickle cell disease, among other medical and surgical illnesses.Nurses have the unique opportunity to provide care to a diverse patient population. The unit emphasizes family centered care through a multidisciplinary team approach and patient/family education. The unit treats patients in the ages of infancy, to those yet to transition to adult care.
The acuity mix for this unit is higher than the typical acuity for most Med/Surg units. The daily patient to Nurse ratio on this unit is often reduced based on high acuity cases.
