Summary: Under moderate supervision, the Clinical Research Revenue Specialist I supports research billing compliance through comprehensive research billing charge review and accounting of revenues and expenses related to performing sponsored clinical trials.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions Demonstrates a basic knowledge of CMS, federal and state regulatory billing requirements for research billing.
Primarily responsible research charge segregation in EMR.
Assists in generation of invoices as required by clinical trial payment agreements.
Process patient stipends and travel reimbursement.
Executes payments to external vendors.
Contacts client sites and/or sponsors as appropriate to clarify billing and collection issues.
Reconciles internal study accounts.
Assists in reconciling research billing inquiries as directed by the Corporate Manager, Research Revenue Cycle.
Assists in day-to-day aspects of account management and billing compliance.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related FunctionsMay participate in process improvement and quality-related initiatives associated with study execution and deliverables.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree required. Associate’s degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
Experience
Requires two (2) years of clinical research experience, or two (2) years of Exempt experience within the OH revenue cycle.
