Responsibilities:
How you’ll do it:
- Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash the creative potential of educators.
- Craft creative example lessons that captivate students.
- Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed.
- Research and demonstrate instructional strategies.
- Foster a culture of active participation and vibrant open discussions.
- Ensure all educator development is completed successfully.
- Provide report documentation as required.
- Communicate actively with directors regarding activities.
Qualifications:
What we’ll need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Valid VA teacher certificate, a Reading or Math Endorsement
- Understanding the stages of reading and writing development.
- Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies
- Knowledge of literacy/math assessments and how to interpret and use data for instruction.
- Familiarity with local, state, and national literacy/math standards (e.g., Common Core, science of reading frameworks).
- Experience delivering professional development workshops to adults.
- Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds and their impact on literacy/math practices and learning styles.
- Strategies for supporting multilingual learners and students with varying abilities.
- Experience working in blended learning classrooms.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Microsoft Office experience.
