HR Generalist- Employee Relations

As a HR Consultant - Employee relations you will collaborate in the administration of all leaves of absences for CCS Medical. Provides support with employee relations matters, recruiting, new hire orientation, and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Engages as a trusted partner and subject matter expert with employees and managers on work related issues including, but not limited to, performance management, workplace concerns, requests for family medical (FMLA) and State-specific leave, requests for reasonable accommodation (ADA), labor law matters and involuntary termination.
  • Serves as main point of contact for leave of absence issues related to FMLA, ADA and State-specific related leaves.
  • Responsible for ensuring all communications regarding approvals, denials, return to work and other important information to team members, managers and Human Resources management are delivered.
  • Provides leave of absence guidance and direction to employees and Managers
  • Works with Human Resources management to determine eligibility for ADA requests.
  • Completes and submits weekly, monthly, and Ad Hoc leave of absence reports accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Handles all Ethics & Compliance investigations related to human Resources
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation for the Corporate and remote locations.
  • Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employment terminations.
  • Handles employee relations matters with direction from Human Resources Manager.
  • Provides reporting and coordinating of the Affirmative Action programs, EEO, 1 VETS
  • Provides support and backup for recruiting.
  • Provides input into the development and implementation for HR policies and procedures and ensures conformity to laws and regulations.
  • Maintains knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information.
  • Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
  • Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations and requirements
  • Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in Human Resources with FMLA/State Leave and ADA in a multi-state environment.
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Human Resources certification a plus
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relation skills
  • Results oriented work ethic with a competitive drive to be the best
  • Strong attention to detail in every situation
  • Good reasoning, multi-tasking abilities and time management
  • Maintains a professional, friendly manner at all times when dealing with employee-related issues
  • Previous experience with ADP or other enterprise HRIS systems required
