The Role: AWCON is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on planning, designing, and overseeing civil construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of civil construction projects, including underground and surface infrastructure.
Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and project documentation.
Conduct site inspections to ensure projects meet design standards, safety protocols, and client expectations.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress, including cost control and schedule adherence.
Manage and supervise on-site construction activities and teams.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines.
Provide technical advice and solutions to address challenges during project implementation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in civil engineering, preferably in construction or mining projects.
Proven experience in designing and managing civil infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance in Australia.
Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
A valid drivers license is essential.
