Tech I - Entertainment (On-Call)

Job Summary:

Responsible for operating and maintaining entertainment systems and equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of production and artist’s equipment from transport trucks.
  • Assist in the setting up and tearing down of all lighting, sound, video, musical equipment and other miscellaneous equipment and materials during concerts and special events.
  • Under special circumstances, operate sound and lighting equipment during performances.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Able to operate basic hand tools.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define and deal with problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to apply regulatory and procedural doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The team member is required to walk. The team member is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms.

Position involves functioning both in an office environment and in the field. Field work involves manual labor, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

WORKING HOURS:

Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday.

Position may require overtime.
