Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Process Improvement – Evaluate and measure waste in the production line through time keeping.
- Process Improvement – Eliminate or reduce waste by applying lean manufacturing tools (7 wastes, kaizen, 5’s, material management).
- Presentation Skills – Weekly report out to Production management
- Change Management – Challenge status quo and collaborate with production employees to implement changes
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
