POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Department of Pathology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor level to lead independent research program(s) in the broad area of Pathology.
Candidates will be given preference if they focus on areas of interest to the Einstein Strategic Plan:
(1) Immunology including the application of immunotherapy approaches to the therapy of various diseases;
(2) Cancer relevant areas including (but not limited to): cancer biology, immunology of cancer and cancer treatment, the role of microbiomes in the pathogenesis or maintenance of cancer, and imaging mass spectroscopy in cancer diagnosis;(3) Infectious Disease including emerging infectious diseases, parasitology, and immune pathogenesis of infections.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have a doctoral degree (e.g. MD, PhD, DVM, etc.) in a relevant scientific discipline with evidence of an ability to obtain independent funding and to grow and sustain their research program.
For those with an MD or MD/PhD degree, and interest, clinical activity at Montefiore can be incorporated into the position.
Recruitments may be hired at Assistant, Associate or Professor level. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range is $130,000 to $220,000. Einstein considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.Faculty with clinical responsibilities will be provided with a clinical supplement to their base salary.
