Job Summary: Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be ready to provide expert care in critical situations. ED nurses in this fast-paced, high-acuity environment will be tasked with handling a wide variety of emergencies for patients of all ages, including trauma and urgent medical needs.

In this role, ED RNs will:

• Provide specialized and innovative care for emergency situations.
• Assess and prioritize incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions.
• Make quick, decisive actions in response to trauma and emergency scenarios, including stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients.

Skills:

• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Strong experience with stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients required.
• This is a high-acuity Emergency Department, with patient volumes reaching up to 220 per day and up to 20 stroke patients per shift.
• Floating within the ED department, including Adult, Pediatrics, and IMC.

Required Certifications & Licenses:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours)

Education:

• No formal educational requirement, but an Associate’s Degree is preferred.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write).

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
• Every other weekend required, holidays as needed.
• No on-call. Limited RTO.
• 13-week assignment.
